The committee of the TSDL, having discussed the concerns of some clubs in relation to the automatic match suspension rules, additional match suspensions rulings, and the wording of the original clarification published on the TSDL website, have decided upon the following rulings
1. Automatic suspensions incurred in domestic Cup, League or Shield games, will be served in the next domestic competitive game, at the same level.
2. Additional game suspensions incurred in domestic Cup, League and Shield competitions, will be served in the next domestic competitive game, at the same level. Additional suspensions will commence on the date given in the official notification by the TSDL committee.
3. Automatic suspensions incurred in a National or Provincial Cup, must be served in the next round of the same competition, if the players team are successful in the round in which the player incurs the automatic suspension. If this is not possible, the suspension must be served in the next domestic competitive game, at the same level of football.
4. Additional game suspensions incurred in a National or Provincial Cup game, must be served in the next competitive game, at the same level (please not that this may not be a domestic game)
Important notice, re the payment of fines incurred along with suspensions
1. Fines incurred by players in addition to a suspension, must be paid within 7 days of receipt, or a returning player may be deemed illegal should he participate in a game.
2. Clubs with outstanding fines, run the risk of having fixtures called off. Where a fixture is called off for the non payment of a fine, it will be deemed a walkover. Points, or the tie in the case of a Cup or Shield game, will be awarded to the opposition, and the offending club will receive a fine of a minimum of €100
Clarifications:
It is the sole responsibility of the club, to ensure that it fully understands the rules as outlined above (and all other TSDL rules). If a club is unsure about the above rules, or any other rules, then they must contact the Hon Secretary of the TSDL to seek definitive clarification
