TSDL Policy on Social Networking Abuse

From time to time, examples of abuse of the TSDL, its management committee, fellow member clubs or other aspects of the running of the league appear on various social media platforms. This is considered unacceptable by the TSDL and therefore, it would like to make the following known to all clubs and their members.

Notice:

Any club committee member, player, club member or other person associated with a member club of the TSDL, posting derogatory comments, abuse or other false statements, on any social media platform, including but not restricted to Facebook, Twitter or any web based forum chat group, about the TSDL, its management committee or persons carrying out work for or on behalf of the TSDL, will be severely dealt with by means of fine, suspension or both, by the management of the TSDL.

The TSDL also reserves the right to vindicate itself, its management committee or persons working for or on its behalf legally if necessary, if any such comments are deemed to be libellous or defamatory.

Clubs should note that they will be held liable for comments made by members or persons associated with their club, and should bring this to the attention of any such member immediately
