FAI YOUTH INTER-LEAGUE CUP
TSDL versus Kildare DL
From the twenty-two League that took part in the FAI YOUTH INTER-LEAGUE CUP this season, it is now down to the final twelve and Tipperary Southern & District League U 18 team (under the guidance of Peter Sullivan) is still standing.
This Saturday (2 February) all roads lead to Newhill Park (the home of Two Mile Borris) where at 2 pm the TSDL lock horns with the Kildare & District League seeking a place in the last eight of this prestigious national competition.
The TSDL hopes looked over after a 7-0 defeat away to the Group winners Waterford, but they bounced back with a 4-1 victory over West Waterford/East Cork and then defeated a highly fancied Kilkenny side 3-0 to book their place in knock-out stage.
Peter Sullivan’s side faced Kilkenny knowing only a win would secure their passage, despite being without seven of the team that started against the WWEC, produced a remarkable victory.
The following are asked to be in Newhill Park for 12.30
Two Mile Borris: Aidan Croke, Liam Lanigan, Pierce Cleary
Clonmel Celtic: Andrew O’Regan, Eoin Mordant, Danny Hogan, Michael Nugent, Keith Hackett, Graham Kelly
Clonmel Town: Stephen Kelly, Harry O’Connor, Michael Connolly, Kevin Fahy, Ross Dennehy, Ashley Laslett, Luke Trimble
Cahir Park: Nial Murphy, John O’Connor, Darren McGrath, David Finnane, Liam Casey
Clerihan: Rory Maher
Bansha Celtic: Sean Breen
St Michaels: John Keating, John Carew, James Casey
Cullen-Lattin: Ciaran Ryan
So, make the time and support your representative side this Saturday at Newhill Park (between Littleton and the Turnpike on the old Cork /Dublin road).
