YOUTH DIVISION 1

Clonmel Celtic 1 – 9 Peake Villa

Peake Villa produced a devastating attacking performance to dismantle Clonmel Celtic in emphatic fashion. From the opening whistle, Villa played with pace, intensity, and sharp movement, immediately pinning Celtic deep in their own half.

The breakthrough arrived early, and once Villa found their rhythm, the game quickly became one-way traffic. Quick combinations through midfield opened space, while intelligent runs from wide areas repeatedly exposed the Clonmel back line. Goals arrived in clusters as Villa showed ruthless efficiency in front of goal.

To their credit, Clonmel Celtic continued to compete and were rewarded with a well-taken consolation goal, but Peake Villa never dropped their standards. They continued to press aggressively, rotate players effectively, and dominate possession right through to the final whistle.

This was a complete performance built on structure, confidence, and an evident understanding between players.

VERDICT:

YOUTH DIVISION 2

Shanbally 0 – 9 Clonmel Town

Clonmel Town delivered one of the most commanding performances of the youth season as they swept aside Shanbally with authority. From the outset, Town dictated tempo, pressing high and forcing errors deep inside Shanbally territory.

The opening goal arrived early and set the tone for what followed. Town’s passing was crisp, their movement intelligent, and their finishing ruthless. By half-time, the outcome was beyond doubt, yet the visitors showed no signs of easing off.

Shanbally battled bravely and continued to work hard, but they were unable to slow the momentum of a Clonmel Town side playing with confidence and cohesion. Goals continued to flow in the second half as Town showcased their attacking depth.

VERDICT:
A statement win from Clonmel Town. Professional, focused, and devastating in attack.

MUNSTER JUNIOR CUP – 5TH ROUND

St Michaels 0 – 1 Newmarket Celtic (Clare)

St Michaels exited the Munster Junior Cup in heartbreaking fashion after a tightly contested encounter with Newmarket Celtic at Cooke Park. The opening stages were cautious, with both sides clearly aware of the stakes and prioritising defensive solidity.

Michaels were well organised and matched their Clare opponents physically, pressing intelligently and limiting Newmarket’s usual attacking threat. The first half passed with few clear chances, with midfield battles dominating proceedings and neither goalkeeper seriously tested.

The decisive moment arrived midway through the second half when Newmarket Celtic capitalised on a rare lapse, converting clinically from close range. St Michaels responded positively, increasing the tempo and committing players forward in search of an equaliser. Several promising situations followed, including dangerous deliveries into the box, but Newmarket’s experience showed as they defended resolutely.

Despite the defeat, St Michaels can take significant positives from their performance and discipline.

VERDICT:
A cruel exit for St Michaels. Fully competitive, well structured, and undone by a single moment.

DIVISION 2

Cahir Park (B) 3 – 1 Oldbridge

Cahir Park (B) continued their strong league momentum with a deserved home victory over Oldbridge. The hosts started brightly, moving the ball confidently and applying sustained pressure early on.

Their dominance was rewarded with the opening goal, and although Oldbridge responded well with spells of possession, Cahir Park always looked the more dangerous side. A second goal before the break gave the hosts control.

Oldbridge pulled a goal back in the second half to inject some tension, but Cahir Park responded immediately, restoring their two-goal cushion and closing the game out professionally.

VERDICT:
A controlled and mature performance from Cahir Park (B). Well balanced in attack and composed when tested.

MUNSTER JUNIOR SHIELD – 5TH ROUND

Carrigaline (Cork) 2 – 2 Peake Villa (B) (AET)

Carrigaline win 8–7 on penalties

One of the ties of the round unfolded in Cork as Peake Villa (B) pushed Carrigaline all the way in a dramatic Shield encounter. Both sides approached the match with intensity, trading attacks in an open and entertaining first half.

Goals at either end ensured the game remained finely balanced, with neither team able to seize control. Extra time followed a tense second half, and despite fatigue setting in, both teams continued to commit players forward.

Penalties were required to separate the sides, and after a marathon shoot-out, Carrigaline edged it 8–7. Heartbreak for Peake Villa (B), who produced a hugely courageous performance away from home.

VERDICT:
Peake Villa (B) can leave with heads held high. A superb effort undone only by the lottery of penalties.

Mullinahone 1 – 3 Shannon Town (Clare)

Mullinahone welcomed strong Clare opposition in Shannon Town and started with real intent, matching the visitors physically in the early exchanges. However, Shannon’s composure in possession soon began to tell.

The opening goal gave Shannon control, but Mullinahone responded well, levelling the game and lifting the tempo. Unfortunately for the hosts, Shannon Town showed their experience, regaining the lead and extending it late on as Mullinahone pushed forward.

Despite the result, Mullinahone’ s work rate and commitment never wavered.

VERDICT:
Shannon Town’s experience proved decisive. Mullinahone competed well but were punished for small lapses.

PREMIER LEAGUE

Cashel Town 0 – 5 Peake Villa

Peake Villa delivered a dominant Premier League performance to dismantle Cashel Town away from home. From the opening minutes, Villa set the tone with sharp passing, high pressing, and constant movement.

Cashel struggled to gain a foothold as Villa scored early and continued to apply pressure. The visitors’ attacking variety caused ongoing problems, with goals coming from multiple areas of the pitch.

Despite Cashel’s efforts to regroup, Peake Villa remained relentless, adding further goals in the second half to complete a comprehensive victory.

VERDICT:
A ruthless display from Peake Villa. Clinical, controlled, and dominant throughout.

Cullen Lattin 2 – 1 Clonmel Celtic

A fiercely contested Premier League encounter saw Cullen Lattin secure a crucial home win. The hosts started strongly and took the lead following a spell of sustained pressure.

Clonmel Celtic responded well, growing into the game and eventually finding an equaliser that set up a tense second half. Both sides pushed for a winner, but it was Cullen Lattin who struck decisively, finishing a well-worked move.

SC&K responded well, levelling the match and creating momentum, but Galbally remained composed and struck again to regain the advantage. The closing stages were tense, with SC&K pushing hard for an equaliser.

Galbally’s defensive discipline saw them through.

A gritty, determined performance from Galbally. Efficient when it mattered most.

Two Mile Borris (B) 6 – 2 Ballingarry

Two Mile Borris (B) delivered an attacking masterclass to overpower Ballingarry. The hosts played with confidence and tempo, opening the scoring early and never relinquishing control.

Ballingarry showed resilience and found the net twice, but defensive gaps were punished by a relentless Borris side. Goals flowed as the home team moved the ball quickly and exploited space with precision.

Killenaule 3 – 5 Mullinahone (B)

A thrilling Division 3 contest saw Mullinahone (B) edge an eight-goal classic. Both sides attacked with freedom, trading goals in an open first half.

The second half continued at a frantic pace, with Mullinahone (B) showing greater composure in front of goal. Killenaule fought until the end, but the visitors’ clinical finishing proved decisive.

VERDICT:
End-to-end entertainment. Mullinahone (B) edged it through superior efficiency.

A tight, disciplined contest was settled by a single goal as Cashel Town (B) claimed victory away from home. Defences dominated for long periods, limiting clear chances.

The breakthrough came late, with Cashel capitalising on a moment of quality. St Michaels (B) pushed hard in the closing minutes but were unable to find an equaliser.

Donohill 3 – 0 Burncourt

Donohill produced a composed performance to secure a comfortable home victory. They controlled possession from early on, breaking Burncourt down with patient build-up play.

Goals at key moments ensured Donohill never lost control, while a solid defensive display kept Burncourt at bay throughout.
