Clonmel Town 0 V St Michaels 3
A fixture always circled on the TSDL calendar ended in a convincing win for St Michael’s, who collected their first victory of the season.
Town actually started the sharper, with Daniel Hayde producing good saves to deny Michael O’Sullivan and Koby Quinn in the early exchanges. On the half-hour, Michaels began to assert themselves and had the ball in the net just before the breakthrough Daniel O’Dwyer, only for the flag to cut celebrations short.
The visitors found their rhythm straight after the restart. On 47 minutes, Jake French Davis burst down the left and squared for O’Dwyer, who calmly slotted home. Minutes later, Town’s failure to clear was punished when Willie Armshaw picked out Davis, who made it 2–0 with a neat finish against his former club. Jake French Davis sealed the result on 69 minutes, again created by Luke Ryan’s pace and delivery.
Michael’s looked comfortable thereafter, though Hayde kept the score respectable with two excellent saves. Town had their moments through Quinn and Tobin Ryan, but lacked cutting edge.
